WILD FLOWERS PROJECT (KIR ÇİÇEKLERİ)
Website: https://www.kircicekleriokusundiye.com/
In order to prevent the interruption of the education journey of financially disadvantaged girls living in rural areas without access to high schools, we launched the 'Wild Flowers Project' in the 2001-2002 academic year. Within the scope of the project, we provide the opportunity for these girls, especially those who don't have a high school in their local area but have a desire to learn, to continue their education in a school in the city of Bursa by offering them full scholarships to stay at the Güler-Osman Köseoğlu Secondary School Dormitory For Girls. In addition to accommodation, we cover all their needs such as meals, books, stationery, social and cultural activities, trips, and we also provide them with academic support through volunteer teachers.
As Contemporary Education Cooperative; we are doing our best to ensure that these girls are equipped with 21nd-century skills. Since the inception of the project, hundreds of girls have become part of social and contemporary life in various professions.

Characteristix Project
In the framework of a protocol signed between Characterix Company and Contemporary Education Cooperative, a 6-week program is organized, and as a result of the tests and interviews conducted with the participating students, personality inventories are created and personal reports are provided. CharacterIX® Personality Inventory is a tool that demonstrates individuals' personality traits, competencies, capabilities and potentials through an analytical reporting system. The aim of the project is to enable 'Wildflowers' to know themselves well, identify their weaknesses and strengths, and accordingly create a career or personal development plan. The company carries out this project for Kır Çiçekleri free of charge. The project is conducted with a total of 19 students.
Philosophy for Children
In brief, Philosophy for Children, also known as P4C, is an approach that focuses on learning and teaching, enhancing children's thinking and communication skills, fostering self-respect, and developing their academic abilities. This program aims to provide participants with the opportunity to enhance their thinking skills and expressive abilities both theoretically and practically. It also aims to equip them with the ability to apply this teaching method in their academic lives. P4C activities play a significant role in helping children learn different and valid ways of thinking. The development of thought is closely related to the development of language. Therefore, as sensory, imaginative, and conceptual thinking develops through experiences, language skills also develop through the effort of expression. The program will run for 13 weeks and is coordinated by Ayşe Özay Ekmekçi. It is implemented with a total of 17 students from the 9th and 10th grade age group, specifically 14 and 15 year-olds.
The 'We Are One' Workshops
The 'We Are One' philosophy and psychology workshops, conducted by Philosophical Consultant Sena Nur Torun and Psychologist İrem Yalçın, take place once a month with two different groups, involving all the Kır Çiçekleri residents, and are regularly held throughout the 2022-2023 academic year. The primary objective of these workshops is to foster a sense of 'Self' through question-and-answer sessions based on stories, passages, visuals, videos, and film excerpts. Subsequently, the aim is to assist individuals in self-discovery and enable them to benefit from psychology and philosophy by acquiring the following skills. The workshops, tailored to the students' profiles, provide support for students to take steps in self-awareness, reasoning, and the practical application of these skills.
