Contemporary Education Cooperative (ÇEK) is a non-profit educational cooperative that operates with the discipline of the private sector while working for the public interest. ÇEK spends its earnings to reduce educational inequality with the aim of providing equal opportunities in education.

ÇEK was founded on July 25, 1995 by 23 intellectuals who believed that education is the basis of everything. Over the years, it has rapidly grown with donations and resources it has created on its own, and has opened its own schools and student dormitories from kindergarten to university level. In 1998, it opened the Görükle Higher Education Student Dormitory, followed by the first educational institution, the 3 March Beşevler Kindergarten in 2003, the 52-classroom 3 March Azizoğlu Primary and Middle School in 2010, the Güler-Osman Köseoğlu Secondary School for Girls as a social responsibility project in 2014, and the Ulviye-Ziya Gökalp Özer Anatolian High School and Halil Güleç Science High School in 2017. Each school opened at every level has the distinction of being exemplary educational institutions with their success in education. Today, the cooperative has 1800 members, 247 employees, and approximately 1700 students.

ÇEK endeavours to fulfil its social responsibility by contributing to an educational system that does not ignore the principles of "Equal Opportunity in Education," "Secularism," and "Atatürk's Principles and Reforms" included in the National Education Basic Law.

ÇEK supports social development by organizing social, cultural, artistic, and educational activities, panels, conferences, talks, and promotional tours for the general public, recognizing that education cannot be limited to their own educational institutions and a certain age group. It produces social projects especially for disadvantaged groups in rural areas. It also informs the public, partners, and employees and shares their views and opinions on issues related to education.
